Early Oak Primitif Chest - 16th Century
A superb and rare 16th-century primitive oak chest from Wales
A very beautiful chest still showing early Gothic influences, known as a “6-plank chest” because the chest
is made from a single piece ofsingle piece of oak
Beautiful decoration on the front and antique wrought-iron nails that enhance its primitive character
We’ve decided to leave the chest as-is with its minor imperfections, as we believe they give it a lot of character.

Small, uncommon size
In good condition with a beautiful natural patina
