Stained-glass Window Featuring A Tree With Yellow Flowers And A Turtle
This stained-glass window features a magnificent tree with yellow flowers—perhaps a California frémontia—with butterflies fluttering around it; at its base, a turtle walks, sheltered by large orange flowers and foxgloves.
Painted in grisaille and colored enamels on slightly yellow transparent glass. The entire piece is delicately painted in a naïve style.
Some of the colors have faded over time.
