Pair Of Silver-plated Louis XVI-style “à La Financière” Candlesticks By Caylar-bayard
Artist: Caylar Bayard
Pair of candlesticks by silversmith Cailar-Bayard (1848–1934).
These are so-called “à la financière” models in silver-plated metal, with the silver plating in very good condition.
The shafts are fluted with ridges, adorned with asparagus motifs, resting on a quadrangular base decorated with waterleaf motifs.
They are in the Louis XVI style and would make a great gift idea for the holiday season.
There is a very slight lack of parallelism due to the silversmith’s artisanal craftsmanship.
Price ex-Gallery in Vichy.
