Large engraved and openwork brass torch holder in the Neo-Mameluke style, decorated with Arabic calligraphic cartouches, arabesques, and geometric interlacing. Its slender shaft, punctuated by bulges and bands, rests on a broad, stepped base and ends in a flared bowl. Presented on an octagonal green-tinted pedestal, it retains a brown and golden patina with silvery metallic highlights. The work is attributed to Egypt or Syria, late 19th–early 20th century.
