Vintage Louis XVI-style Secretary Desk.
A lady's secretary desk made of walnut and burl walnut; in the form of a cabinet, it opens via a drawer, a drop-down panel revealing a fairly simple compartment, and two doors.
The frame of the top has been restored, a patch was applied to a door hinge, and the lock on the flap was replaced; all restorations are of an earlier date.
The walnut, which had been damaged by woodworms, has been thoroughly treated.
