Bench Chest. 15th Century.
Chest bench. Oak. Wrought iron. Important chest of solid construction, frame with live joints, that is to say without assemblies, whose different panels are fixed using forged nails. The oak revealing its great age has received minimal and old restorations, namely: a small graft on the top, on the front and rear left legs, on the rear right leg, two on the bottom and behind the lock. The hinges have been replaced as well as the lock formerly with a hasp and of which only the front remains. The small interior box will be redone. Rare piece of furniture and in good condition given its great age. North of France. 14th or 15th century.
