Pair Of Art Deco Geese Bookends On Black Marble Bases, France, 1920
A charming pair of Art Deco bookends from France, made around 1920. Each bookend shows a stylised black metal goose with gold-coloured wings, eyes and feet, standing on a base of black marble with white veining. The undersides are finished with green felt.
The two geese face each other and bring a playful, elegant touch to a bookcase, desk or mantelpiece.
