Monumental Oak Sideboard By De Tonge, France, Mid-20th Century

A substantial French oak sideboard by De Tonge, distinguished by its architectural façade of four arched raised-panel doors and matching paneled drawers. Crafted from solid oak with a warm honey-toned patina, the piece combines traditional French provincial influences with the restrained craftsmanship typical of De Tonge production.

The sideboard features four drawers above four arched cupboard doors, each fitted with hand-forged wrought iron hinges, escutcheons, and original keys. Behind the doors, generous shelved storage provides practical functionality for dining ware, linens, media equipment, or household essentials. The rich oak grain is beautifully highlighted throughout, while the elegant arched panel detailing lends depth and character to the façade.

A maker's stamp, "De Tonge," is present on back, confirming its attribution. Good vintage condition with light wear and small marks to the top. Original wrought iron hardware and keys present. The photographs are an essential part of the description and should be consulted carefully, as they form part of the condition report and provide the most accurate representation of the item's current state, patina, and character.

A versatile and timeless storage piece that works equally well in rustic, French country, traditional, or contemporary interiors.
