Dutch Baroque-style Column Cabinet, Circa 1710
A Dutch Baroque-style column cabinet, probably dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, around 1700.
The cabinet features a richly decorated front, with contrasting wood species (including ebony), geometric panels, and black moldings. The four black columns with finely carved Ionic capitals, the monumental cornice, and the large ball feet give this piece its distinctive character.
The interior offers ample storage space with several wooden shelves. The piece features traditional construction with wide, antique back panels, iron locks, and various authentic details. It bears signs of wear and restorations consistent with its age. One ball foot is likely original, while the others were replaced at a later date.
A piece with a particularly decorative and architectural design, characteristic of Dutch Baroque.
