René Bour – J. Galland & Damon Studio, Paris, Triptych Of Three Stained-glass Windows, Ca. 1925
Stained glass, grisaille and silver-yellow paint, lead-come-jointed.
The central panel depicts Christ standing, hands raised, among four apostles in prayer. In the background is a stylized view of Jerusalem featuring the Temple, its domes, and a monumental staircase. The two side panels each depict a group of haloed apostles, heads bowed and hands clasped, against a backdrop of hills. The design incorporates ears of wheat and vine branches, referencing the Eucharistic bread and wine. The color palette consists of ochres, reds, browns, and yellows, with the design outlined in a bold black line. Wooden frame
