Monumental Table With Parquetry 19th Century

A monumental 19th-century French table, measuring an impressive 340 cm in length, featuring a tabletop adorned with exceptional geometric marquetry.

The tabletop is crafted from various types of wood, including walnut, whose alternating grain patterns and color tones create a three-dimensional design. This technique is known as “parquetry.” The crossbars and the six sturdy, tapered legs are also adorned with geometric marquetry. Small metal rods with square heads embedded in the tabletop add an extra decorative touch.

The table features a warm patina and slight signs of wear consistent with its age. We discovered it in the south of France.

Thanks to its exceptional length of 340 cm, this table can serve as a large dining table, a conference table, or a display table—for example, in a hotel or showroom.

The table can be raised slightly, for example, using brass casters.
