Early 20th-century English Convex Mirror
An English Regency-style convex mirror, made around 1900.
This round mirror features a gilded wooden frame with a black-finished inner edge and decorative spherical ornaments. At the top is a finely carved eagle, finished in black, with outstretched wings, holding a chain in its beak.
The spherical glass provides a wide, reduced reflection. The design is inspired by the English Regency period of the early 19th century, during which this type of mirror was particularly popular.
The mirror has a wooden back and shows signs of wear consistent with its age.
