"19th Century Tortoise Crucifix"
This impressive 19th-century crucifix is a unique example of religious art and master craftsmanship of the period. The crucifix is executed with a combination of tortoise and ebony, with wavy moldings. The body of Christ is finely carved, with careful attention to anatomy and expression, and bears the traditional INRI inscription at the top. In good condition. Two broken fingers and one missing nail. Dimensions: 82H x 23W x 14D
