Antique 1900s Pendant: Mother-of-pearl Virgin Mary, Platinum

Large pendant in 585/1000 yellow gold and 850/1000 platinum, holding a mother-of-pearl plaque engraved with a profile of the Virgin Mary. The openwork setting is paved with small rose-cut diamonds and accented with two rows of small fine pearls (14 on top and 13 on the bottom). French craftsmanship, circa 1900.
Gross weight: 5.89 g.
Dimensions: 4.2 cm high excluding the bail and 2.5 cm wide.
Condition: generally good condition; the mother-of-pearl plaque moves slightly. A small pearl is missing at the bottom of the plate, but this does not affect the piece. 1 very minor chip on the mother-of-pearl that is barely visible
Hallmarks: a shell for 585/1000 gold and a mascaron for 850/1000 platinum.
