Louis XVI-style Fireplace In Two-tone Marble
Black marble fireplace with white veining. The jambs feature fluted, stop-fluted decoration, topped by a carved white marble rosette. The lintel, echoing the design of the jambs, is centered with an inset of white statuary marble depicting an urn in relief, in the antique style. The edge of the mantel shelf is carved and molded, following the contours of the facade. The fireplace includes a matching floor hearth, featuring three white marble panels (measuring 143 cm by 33 cm wide). Firebox opening dimensions: 101 cm wide by 80 cm high. A fine example of Louis XVI-style craftsmanship, dating from the 20th century.
