CARVED WOODEN SHAMAN MASK, NEPAL, 19TH CENTURY

The oblong, ape-like face is carved with large, bulging eyes, a bulbous nose, and a grimacing mouth featuring incomplete dentition . The entire mask is covered with red and deep black pigment.

Condition: Good condition with natural wear and imperfections, including cracks. Minor losses, chips, nicks, and remnants of ritual pigments.
