Elegant French game table from the Napoleon III period, second half of the 19th century, made of rosewood with refined brass and tortoiseshell inlays using the Boulle technique.
The folding tabletop features a large central panel decorated with scrolls and arabesques, bordered by fillets and a gilded bronze trim. The same decoration is repeated on the front of the drawer, which features a lock and a beaded frame.
It rests on four turned and fluted legs in the Louis XVI style, with gilt-bronze capitals and finials, joined by a shaped crossbar with a small inlaid central panel.
