Stamped Art Nouveau vase by Mont Joye (Legras). Enameled and gilded glass. Height: 19.5 cm.
A lovely vase from the François Théodore Legras glassworks in Saint-Denis.
It belongs to the "Mont Joye" collection—the most prestigious and high-end line from this maker—and dates to the Art Nouveau period.
The piece is crafted from acid-etched, frosted glass, decorated with enameled flowers and gilding. It is in very good overall condition, with the original gilding still present on the neck.
Note that there are three small black spots inside the vase; these are original to the manufacturing process—likely residues of furnace clinker or trapped carbon bubbles. In reality, the yellow tones are much softer than they appear in the photographs. The stamp is clearly visible on the underside of the vase. No cracks, no chips.
