G. Leroux - Silver-plated Bronze Figurine "la Norma," 20th Century
G. LEROUX - Silver-plated bronze medallion. The origin of this medallion is not known with certainty. However, various symbols appear at the bottom: intertwined Bordeaux crescents within a nautical anchor; the caduceus of commerce; industry, a cogwheel surmounted by a hammer. The four dolphins around the edge of the piece refer to the city of Bordeaux. This piece appears to have been commissioned for officials: members of parliament, the mayor, or the president of the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce.
The figurine is signed G. Leroux, Cazaubon.
