Emile Galle - Multilayered Glass Vase, Late 19th–early 20th Century

Artist: Emile Gallé
Emile GALLE - A famous multilayered glass vase with a design etched with acid. It features a flattened body and a narrow, flaring neck. A very beautiful piece with sades of yellow-orange and green. A forest landscape is depicted on its various sides. A typical Art Nouveau piece, in a Japanese-inspired style.

On the bottom of the vase is an old (damaged and torn) label from the art dealership “Blum & Baumann,” which operated in Strasbourg, 9 Cathedral Square,  in the early 20th century.

“Gallé” signature incorporated into the design.
