Pair of carved, silver-plated, and polychrome wooden wall sconces – Mid-20th century
An elegant and decorative pair of two-light wall sconces, crafted from finely carved, silver-plated, and polychrome wood, dating from the mid-20th century.
The wall sconces feature a rich ornamental composition inspired by Baroque and Rococo styles, characterized by spectacular arrangements of fruit, grape clusters, leaves, and plant motifs, set within fluted vases and surmounted by carved vertical elements.
Particularly pleasing is the vibrant polychromy, in shades of green, blue, yellow, and red, harmoniously paired with the silver-plated surfaces, which lend the pieces a refined decorative effect.
The two elegantly curved candle arms complete the composition, enhancing its movement and ornamental richness.
