Elegant and Imposing Ceremonial Armchair, Made of Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer, from the Empire Period, 19th Century.
This Armchair features a straight, slightly sloping backrest with a delicately curved upper crossbar. Its armrests are topped with superb, finely carved lion heads. The armrests extend into straight upper posts, resting on front legs carved in the shape of lion paws and on straight rear legs. Its waistband is slightly curved. Its armrests feature cuffs. This armchair is upholstered in a lovely checkered fabric in shades of beige and camel, finished with trim. Good stability. Comfortable seat. Beautiful patina.
