Small "transition" Chest Of Drawers "esprit Boule"
A lovely little Transition-style chest of drawers dating from the early 20th century. It has three drawers, one of which features burl wood, and its front is adorned with rich pyrographed decoration inspired by Boulle furniture. The design consists of flowers framing a mascaron, set against a black background. The hardware is bronze. The top is adorned with a radiating butterfly-wing marquetry design, highlighted by a border. This chest of drawers is crafted from various precious woods to create color contrasts: rosewood, blackened pear wood, and amaranth. It is clean and in good condition. Please note minor signs of wear; see photo.
