Captured in an elegant pose, these two mythological figures form a couple. Hermes is recognizable by his winged helmet; Aphrodite holds a long ancient trumpet—a removable salpinx—to her mouth. Their feet rest on mascarons depicting figures blowing, which evoke Aeolus. The patinated bronze figures stand on cylindrical pedestals adorned with a relief decoration featuring angels.
