Early 20th-century Anglo-indian Sideboard
Anglo-Indian cabinet, likely made in India in the early 20th century, during the British colonial period.
This piece is crafted from solid hardwood, most likely teak, and adorned with rich, hand-carved woodwork. Its design combines traditional Indian ornamentation with influences drawn from British furniture traditions.
The front features richly decorated panels adorned with large fan-shaped rosettes, surrounded by refined floral and geometric motifs. The cornices and baseboard are also adorned with decorative carvings.
The lower section features several cabinet doors and an open central compartment with a shelf. It is believed that the upper section also originally served as a cabinet. Today, it functions as a decorative piece of furniture with doors that do not open and a central mirror.
