Flat Desk Louis XVI Period

A substantial flat-topped desk in rosewood and violetwood veneer. It features three drawers set in a stepped band. Sheath-shaped legs. The top is framed by a gilt-bronze moulding and trimmed with gilt leather featuring small metal studs.
Stamped ‘Pierre GARNIER, Master’ in 1742 and bearing the guild mark.
