Vase Decorated With Seashells And Newts
A pedestal vase decorated with raised shell motifs. Two tritons, each holding a stem, are placed on either side of the body. The neck is tall, with a wide opening and wavy edges. The round foot features the same shell motif.
The surface has a patina and traces of oxidation visible in the photos. Several hallmarks are present on the rim of the foot, including one bearing the inscription “800.” The metal and the other hallmarks have yet to be identified.
