Magnificent and rare Art Nouveau-era set of brushes and toiletries
crafted from 925/1000 sterling silver by the renowned American silversmiths Unger Brothers of Newark, New Jersey
This exceptional set, featuring opulent decoration highly representative of the Art Nouveau style, comprises 4 pieces in excellent condition:
Large hairbrush with handle: Length 25 cm – Decorated with a nymph with flowing hair.
Clothes brush: Length 19 cm – Female profile and floral motifs in high relief.
Nail polisher with brush handle: Length 12 cm – Calla lily/arum flower motifs, engraved with the monogram EG
Nail file: Length 18 cm; matching solid silver handle.
Official hallmark: STERLING 925 FINE
Master silversmith’s mark: Stylized UB monogram Unger Brothers
PAT. JUNE 23, 1903
Condition: Very good overall condition with a superb original patina. Some slight signs of wear, which are normal for an object over 120 years old.
