A painter born in 1953, Michel Tronel established his studio in Argentenay in the Yonne department (Burgundy). A devotee of figurative painting and a great lover of green spaces, he creates, on canvas or panel, idyllic gardens opening onto horizons bathed in light. The artist thus constructs dreamlike panoramas, such as palace parks opening onto crystal-clear ponds where the sun’s rays are reflected. The vegetation and perspective of his large, inanimate landscapes—of Arcadian beauty—offer calm and serenity. The painting we are presenting is executed in a very smooth style, thanks to the artist’s characteristic fine brushwork.
