Three Glass Goblets With Gilded, Mercurized Bases, 19th Century
A beautiful set of three mercurized glass bowls of decreasing sizes, dating from the 19th century. Each piece features an interior richly lined with gold, creating a striking luminous contrast with the silver exterior. The outer rim is adorned with a delicate acid-etched floral design depicting stylized vine leaves, and each rests on a molded circular pedestal.
Good condition, with a warm mercury patina and charming minor imperfections in places that attest to their age and artisanal craftsmanship. There is a minor internal chip on one of the bases that is barely visible and poses no visible risk, as shown in the photos.
