Vintage Indian 925 Sterling Silver Peacock Kumkum Box Masala Dan Spice 800g 13cm
Vintage multi-compartment spice or cosmetic container, historically identified as a kumkum box or masala dan. Composed of 925 sterling silver, with a stamped 925 numeric purity mark located on the center of the underside base plate. The container is configured with 6 teardrop-shaped compartments arranged in a circular flower motif around a central threaded column. Each compartment features an individually hinged lid topped with a cast bird-shaped finial that serves as a handle. A larger central handle shaped as a crested peacock is threaded into the middle core. The entire unit is elevated on 6 cast support legs fashioned as standing birds with spread circular feet. The total item weight is approximately 800 grams. The external dimensions measure 13cm in height by 14cm in width.
