Pair Antique French Empire Bronze Ormolu Candlestick Table Lamps Circa 1830
A fine matching pair of French Restoration-period two-light table lamps, circa 1830, constructed from dark patinated bronze with contrasting gilt-bronze ormolu mounts.
Each lamp features a central cluster-column stem rising from a broad triangular triform pedestal. The three concave sides of each base are ornamented with applied gilt-bronze masks depicting bearded male faces. The lamps are supported on three impressive outward-facing ormolu lion-paw feet with finely detailed claws.
The upper section of each lamp has two bulb holders mounted on curved metal arms, arranged around an adjustable central brass stem terminating in a tiered finial.
The lamps have been rewired with modern brown fabric-covered twisted flex and fitted with inline black rocker switches.
