Antique 20thc Large Art Deco Silver Plated Cocktail Shaker, Birmingham C.1925

20th-century English cocktail shaker made of silver-plated metal, manufactured by J. B. Chatterley & Sons Ltd. It has a shape reminiscent of a coffee pot, with a side handle, a spout, and a removable stopper. The body is adorned with simple fluted moldings at the neck and base. The piece has a removable lid and bears a mark on the underside of its base. Thanks to its sleek Art Deco design, this shaker remains as relevant today as ever; it is both a practical utensil and a piece that sparks curiosity, ideal for a modern collection of bar accessories. It bears the following inscriptions on the base: “EPNS JBC&SLD, 58, MADE IN ENGLAND.”
