A superb, large oil lamp from the
early 19th century
Napoleon III
The Satsuma-style crackled porcelain body features a remarkable hand-painted design of chrysanthemums and foliage in slight relief, enhanced with highlights of colored enamel and gilding. The lamp rests on an elegant openwork base in patinated bronze decorated with foliage motifs.
The lamp is complete with its key-operated bronze burner, its frosted crystal tulip shade engraved with floral motifs, and its original glass tube.
Glazed porcelain, bronze, frosted glass.

In very good condition, with a beautiful patina from use. No major cracks or visible chips.
