Mougin Lamp

Artist: Mougin

We present this large, egg-shaped lamp base made of stoneware, created by the sculptor André Legrand for the famous Mougin factory in Nancy during the Art Deco period.

This piece, titled “Les Bûcherons” (The Woodcutters), features a relief design accented with matte colors, depicting woodcutters and workers at work in the midst of a forest of tall trees.

The brothers Joseph and Pierre Mougin are among the leading figures in the ceramics of the École de Nancy.
