A former glove box made of lightly mottled walnut, decorated with mimosa branches and butterflies. Marked "Biarritz"—most likely a souvenir brought back after a vacation there.
Note: a tiny, old crack on the left side of the lid, which is now closed but still slightly visible.
The interior is lined with blue silk; there are a few stains, as shown in the photos.
