Louis XVI-style Fireplace Made Of Calacatta White Marble
An elegant Louis XVI-style fireplace made of white Calacatta marble, carved in the 19th century, in perfect condition. Its recessed mantelpiece is adorned with fluted channels; its slightly cantilevered side panels, decorated with an acanthus leaf on a volute, are crowned by a finely carved rosette, and a cascade of pearls adorns their molded casing.
Its polished brass hearth surround, complete with its closing curtain, is original, as is its restored hearth slab, made of white Calacatta marble and yellow Sainte-Beaume marble (from Pourcieux in the Var).
Its footprint, including the hearth slab, measures 140 cm by 63 cm.
The length of the body is 140 cm.
