Small Bronze Hunting Dog Signed By Moigniez
Miniature bronze by Moigniez – Hunting Dog – Late 19th century
A charming miniature animal bronze depicting a hunting dog in a pointing stance, set on a naturalistic base featuring birds.
The sculpture displays remarkable finesse of execution despite its small size: the dog’s pose is particularly lifelike, the coat is rendered in fine detail, and the landscape is beautifully rendered.
Bronze signed “Moigniez” on the base; animal compositions by Jules Moigniez (1835–1894).
A French work from the late 19th century.
