A sublime miniature vase from the Satsuma kilns, featuring a very rich decoration: a court scene with 35 figures, mostly women, who appear to be serving a pair of dignitaries (perhaps the imperial couple?). Signed on the bottom; to be identified.
Exquisite, richly detailed decoration with superb gilding. Very good condition; note a tiny, non-penetrating hairline crack on the top. Otherwise, no chips or restorations.
