Victor Jacques Renault des Graviers, 1816–1904, a French genre painter known for his rural landscapes inspired by the Barbizon School and his Orientalist genre scenes. He was born in 1816 in Fontenay-le-Fleury, France, and studied under Paul Delaroche and Horace Vernet at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He made his debut at the 1848 Paris Salon and later became a member of the Société des Artistes Français. He traveled to Morocco, from which he brought back numerous works. One of his works is in the Louviers Museum. Artist listed in the Bénézit. Priced on Artprice, Artnet, Akoun, etc...
