Wall-mounted Telephone, Early 20th Century, Circa 1900.

Early 20th-century wall-mounted telephone.
Model from the Société Industrielle des Téléphones (S.I.T.), formerly located at 25 Rue du 4 Septembre in Paris. The engraved inscription Sté Indlle des TÉLÉPHONES confirms that it was manufactured by this historic French company. The device, commonly known as a “wall-mounted system” or sometimes associated with the Ader or Bailleux patents, was produced in the very early 20th century (around 1900). The central button served as a call button, and the circular structure made of composite material (often ebonite or early Bakelite) houses the receiver and the transmission system.
In good overall condition.
