A very beautiful trumeau of spectacular size.
The painting in the upper section is based on a composition by Jean II Restout, *The Rest of the Holy Family During the Flight into Egypt*, housed in the Church of Saint-Étienne in Saint-Étienne (See: Christine Gouzi, *Jean Restout 1692–1768: History Painter in Paris*, Arthena, 2000, p. 260, fig. 100). Compared to the works often found in the upper sections of trumeaux, this one is truly of exceptional quality and, in this respect, matches the great finesse of the sculpted elements.
