Gilded and chiseled bronze clock, "La Naissance de l'Amour" model, signed Lemoine Beudan, from the Restoration period (1815–1830), 19th century.
Decorated with a female figurine dressed in ancient style representing the allegory of the Birth of Love and a passionate Athenian woman.
The white enamel dial with hour markers displays the hours in Roman numerals.
The oblong base is encircled by trophies of quivers and hearts.
Rests on four spindle-shaped feet.
Signed “Lemoine Beudan à Paris” on the dial.
Very fine period gilding.
