Jean Marec (1901–1972). The Château d'Angers, As Seen From The Drawbridge.

Artist: Jean Marec
Oil on panel depicting Angers Castle from the drawbridge side, the "Porte des Champs" gate to the southeast, with its 13th-century fortified entrance gatehouse.
The painter remarried in Angers in the 1950s, so it is likely that he painted this view of the castle on that occasion.
