Japanese-inspired modular table with a solid iroko base, featuring six sliding, removable, and reversible tabletops framed in iroko—one side in light blue laminate, the other in ribbed aluminum.Designed by Bernard Vuarnesson, stamped Vuarnesson, for Bellato edition,circa 1980.
Good condition: a few scratches on the wood, minor dents on the aluminum side of some trays.

Bernard Vuarnesson (1935), a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure du Bois, became a civil engineer at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris.
In 1973, he co-founded the publishing house Sculpture et Jeux with his wife, Ariane Vuarnesson, and then, beginning in 1982, devoted himself to designing transformable furniture.His modular furniture has brought Bernard Vuarnesson great renown as a designer.
