Pair Of Large, Monumental Vases Carved From Marble – H 150 Cm
An important pair of large decorative vases in carved marble, complete with their respective marble bases.
The vases, inspired by large classical-style urns, feature rich carved decoration with plant and leaf motifs in relief. The lower part of the bowls is characterized by broad fluting and carved masks. The feet, also fluted and featuring pod-like motifs, rest on quadrangular bases.
The marble has a pleasing patina and signs of wear consistent with the decorative character of the pieces.
The remarkable size makes this pair particularly striking and suitable for decorating grand residences, entryways, winter gardens, galleries, villas, and reception areas.
