Important Chest Of Drawers From Northern Italy – Late 18th Century
An elegant chest of drawers from Northern Italy, dating from the late 18th century. With an elegant crescent shape, it features rich inlay decoration in walnut, green-stained wood, rosewood, and light-wood fillets.
The upper band is adorned with a Greek motif, while the front panels display refined latticework within frames embellished with beaded friezes.
The piece opens with two side doors and three drawers of varying sizes; the two lower drawers, featuring a hidden crossbar, are unified by the continuity of the inlaid decoration. Flat uprights extend into the tapered legs. Original white marble top.
