Set of 6 cherry wood chairs, circa 1800
Origin: Southern Germany, circa 1800. They offer good seating comfort and feature delicate brass ornamentation integrated into the upper part of the backrest.
This set was crafted in the style of Heinrich Gambs (1765/68?–1831), a cabinetmaker from Durlach, a student of Abraham Röntgen, and a collaborator of David Röntgen.
The furniture has been restored, reupholstered, and hand-polished with shellac.
