18th-century Solid Silver Tiara Comb
This tiara-shaped comb is made of 843 sterling silver; it dates from the 18th century and was crafted in Lyon.
It has 36 teeth, and is hallmarked with a horse’s head, which served as a discharge hallmark between 1774 and 1780 at the Lyon Assay Office under the tenure of Jean-Baptiste Fouache for 916 gold items and small 843 silver items.
Note that the prongs are slightly curved.
