Vietnamese Display Cabinet Made Of Carved Exotic Wood With Mother-of-pearl Inlays, 20th Century

An elegant Vietnamese display case made of dark exotic wood, richly carved and adorned with remarkable polychrome mother-of-pearl inlay work.

The display cabinet features a beautiful vertical design with three glass-paned sides, allowing the objects on display to be showcased. The frames are decorated with geometric and plant motifs, while the upper and lower panels feature delicate floral and plant motifs in mother-of-pearl.

The upper section is particularly remarkable, featuring a richly carved, openwork cornice composed of geometric motifs, foliage, and decorative elements characteristic of Chinese-influenced Vietnamese furniture.

The lower section, also richly carved, rests on four sculpted, curved legs, embellished with small mother-of-pearl inlays.

The contrast between the dark wood, the relief carvings, and the iridescent sheen of the mother-of-pearl lends this display cabinet a particularly elegant and decorative presence.

A refined display piece, ideal for showcasing porcelain, glassware, objets d’art, or collections, and one that will easily find its place in a classic, eclectic, or Asian-inspired interior.
